Clinton Jenkins, smiling in a button down shirt and red tie

I’m Delegate Clinton Jenkins, and I’m running for the Virginia Senate because we need leaders in Richmond who will stand up for us. I began my career of service working with churches, civic leagues, and community organizations. I’ve served in the legislature since 2020, and I’m proud to say that I’ve built a legislative record that has benefited all my constituents and people throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. I’ve also earned a reputation as a lawmaker who is willing to work with others to get the job done. With your help I will continue to serve, and stand up for you in the Senate to make all of our lives better.

Women have the right to make health decisions about their own bodies, including decisions on when and how to start families. I will fight any attempt to allow the government to get between a woman and her doctor.

Our children have the right to a world-class public education. In the Senate, I will stand up for students, teachers, and parents to  ensure all kids have safe, nurturing schools to attend, and that teachers have the resources they need and the pay they deserve.

A peaceful Suffolk highway

In order for our community to thrive, we must make sure people are safe.  I want to ensure that law enforcement gets the support they need, and that our residents get the protections they deserve.  We have made great strides in the last couple of sessions, and I will fight to make sure that common sense reforms like red flag laws aren’t rolled back.

Healthcare is a not only a basic necessity, it is a human right.  As a Delegate, I passed legislation that ensured dental care was included as part of Medicaid expansion.  As your next Senator, I will fight to make sure that all Virginians can access the healthcare they need.
